ABOUT ME

I'm an occasional traveler who enjoys meeting people from around the world. I'm a freelance engineer of medical devices with a busy but fairly flexible schedule, involved in volunteering with community emergency services. I occasionally use my summers to lead climbing, hiking, biking and other trips for kids on the east coast.

PHILOSOPHY

Since attaining some semblance of self-awareness at about age 12, I have, about every four years, realized that I knew relatively nothing about anything four years prior. I will do what I can to make sure that this happens every four years, forever.

I dig meeting travelers from near and far with interesting stories, interests and skills.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard about CS from a group-member on a trip to Israel and from a coworker at a summer camp. Since then I've had a handful of people staying here. I showed them around when I could and enjoyed hanging out with em.

Haven't stayed with anyone yet, though I did stay with friends of friends in Israel and had a sweet time.

In Israel, a 2-day old cow sucked on my fingers.

Assuming I can get away from other commitments, I dig sharing experiences with visitors. These can include:

- meals at one of my favorite restaurants
- meals at someplace totally new to all involved
- cooking food(okay, enough eating!)
- grabbing a good beer
- going for a walk
- visiting someplace random
- going for a hike (especially at night!)
- going to a concert
- learning a new favorite activity
