About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Spreading a positive global perspective and experiencing the world
ABOUT ME
I am constantly on a quest to find myself. I think I'm starting to get pretty close to the "answer" but am also learning that this world is pretty good at surprising you on a daily basis. Basically, I'm learning not to take myself too seriously.
I got the travel bug in 2009 and took off for a year to discover Europe and South America while teaching English. I picked up a lot of Spanish and now speak it fluently. After traveling, I tried to settle back in in Portland, Oregon but started to go stir crazy. I got lucky and found my dream job in Europe. The company paid to move me over here and the rest is history.
People are usually pretty surprised to hear that I'm an engineer. I think I'm more exciting than "my kind" normally is :)
PHILOSOPHY
Treating people with respect and living your life honestly can only help to add positive energy to the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My girlfriend and I own a house very close to the center of Eindhoven. The house is old and needs quite a bit of work so we will host when we can.
I'd love to show you around my city, help you get here and help you find your next destination. I've been to/lived in quite a few places so I can share some pretty great stories and would love to hear yours.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed with two very kind people during my time in Spain and am looking forward to continuing that trend where I've landed this time.
Interests
Traveling, of course. I love motorcycles, hiking, backpacking, camping, running, playing the drums, working on cars, bikes, etc. and learning new things (currently Dutch)
