My name is Kenyatta but most people call me Yahdy (YAH-dEE) for short. I'm 22 years young with an older soul. My closer friends refer to my personality as 'calmly charismatic,' from my peaceful demeanour yet overly positive and uplifting perspective on life.

I'm currently writing as much as I can, I blog for a company called Vybesource and freelance write in my spare time, and I'm in the midst of publishing my first book. I love culture and I love traveling! I've yet to leave America yet, but look forward to the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and share experiences with great people internationally. Regardless of domestic or international travel, I can assure you that if I am staying with you, you'll have a very responsible, efficient, effective, FUNNY and positive human being to work with!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently left Indiana, sold everything I own and came to California. I love filling up my book of experiences and cool people. I feel pulled by the art of traveling due to my friends back home being so culturally diverse :) I'm addicted to meeting amazing people and exchanging value in any way possible.

Books: The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, Outwitting the Devil, The Alchemist, Think and Grow Rich, anything that helps people become a better version of themselves I like to read!

Movies: Fight Club, All the marvel super hero movies, Never Back Down, You got served, Any Christopher Nolan film (inception, batman, etc)

Music: Logic is my absolute favorite artist. But other than that, I love lyrical hip hop that talks about growth and positivity, but I love my share of trap too haha. I'm really into EDM of all genres, R&B, I even like jazz.

I AM WANTING TO LEARN SPANISH - I practice three times a day on my own, and I've been teaching myself for about 3 months now, and I can hold my own in light conversations.
