About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Impressing myself with simple facts in life

ABOUT ME

I'm a 32 chilled-out Mexican gay guy who enjoys traveling and making new friends. I created my profile because I want to give someone visiting my country the chance to get impressed with the Mexican culture, heritage and hospitality. In the same way, I want to meet wonderful people and make friends all over the world, that is something that you cannot easily get on a pre-paid tour or excursion.

In addition, I also think it's great and interesting to find someone to host you in a city you have never been before and even to have the chance to connect with a totally different experience of the meaning of "traveling".

People say I'm a friendly and responsible guy and I would add gentle and respectful :)

One thing I really enjoy in life is traveling! It's because of my personality and my work (I'm a Human Rights activist particularly focused on HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights) that I've had the chance to visit so many cities in different countries... I would say that I've been in many more countries compared to average for a young person from my country, so I'm a lucky guy and I'm thankful about it.

More into my daily life in Mexico, I like swimming... that's actually the sport-practice that I really enjoy doing even if I'm currently a gym kind of guy; I also like thrillers and horror films even if they are a flop, so I just realized that I like the idea of getting scared ;) I also like literature, mostly historic novels and social essays; I use to spend much time with my family and having fun with friends... you know, having drinks or visiting a museum. Indeed, my friends are just like my second family.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I firstly join to CS because many friends of mine recommended it as a great platform to meet people, with the added value to host someone at home or being hosted in a new city. I know it's quite average, but then after my first CS experience (in Rome), I realized that CS is actually a space to exchange life experiences, to get new friends all over the world and to really have a good chance to discover the essence of a city, that is to go one step further then a simple tourist in a new place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Speak at a UN's session... definitely one of the greatest experiences ever!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show my lovely city (Puebla) share some time with my friends and considering that Mexico City is 2 hours far from home, we can have a 1 or 2 days tour around Mexico City. I used to live in Mexico City (DF) for 8 years, so I can manage to find a place to stay with one of my closest friends there.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, Panama, Peru, Poland, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, United States
