About Me

Hi! I’m Yakine, 28 years old, Tunisian, and currently working with UNHCR.
I’m passionate about traveling, discovering new cultures, and meeting people from all backgrounds. I’m fluent in Arabic, French, and English, and currently learning Italian.

I’ve been lucky to explore quite a few places already — the Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Algeria, and Germany — and every trip made me fall more in love with the world. I enjoy anything that gives me adrenaline, whether it’s trying a new sport, exploring a new city alone, or saying yes to a spontaneous adventure.

People usually describe me as friendly, open-minded, and easygoing. I love good conversations, local food, and wandering without a plan. I’m also respectful, clean, and always appreciate the trust and generosity of hosts.

For me, Couchsurfing isn’t just about a place to sleep — it’s about connecting, sharing stories, learning from each other, and creating small meaningful moments with strangers who become friends.

Excited to keep exploring and meeting new people around the world ✨

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe the best part of traveling is the people you meet along the way. Hotels are comfortable, but they don’t give you real human connection, local tips, or the chance to share stories with someone who lives the city from the inside.

I love discovering new cultures, practicing languages, and meeting people with different backgrounds. I’ve had amazing experiences around Europe and the Mediterranean, and Couchsurfing feels like a natural extension of that — kindness, trust, and exchange.

I also enjoy the community spirit here: helping travelers, sharing positive energy, and creating small friendships around the world. Whether hosting someday or being hosted now, I want to be part of that circle of generosity and curiosity.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I’ve done is building a life and career dedicated to helping others through my work with UNHCR. It taught me resilience, compassion, and how powerful human connection can be.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good conversations, positive energy, and stories from my travels across Europe and the Mediterranean. I speak Arabic, French, and English fluently (and I’m learning Italian!), so I’m always happy to practice languages or help with translations.

I love connecting with people, exchanging perspectives, and learning about different lifestyles. I can share Tunisian culture, recommend amazing places from my trips, or simply bring a chill, respectful presence to your home.

I’m also clean, independent, and very appreciative of any space offered. Whether it’s chatting over coffee, exploring the city together, or giving you some quiet peaceful company, I adapt easily to the host’s vibe.

Most of all, I bring gratitude, kindness, and a genuine curiosity about people and the world.
