About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to live simply, and just be

ABOUT ME

My name is Yakir, I am 26, I live kibbutz Samar at the Arava (south of Israel near Eilat). At Samar we live as social and sharing community . For me One of the great things in life is to learn about other cultures, and different styles of living; because of this I really believe in the idea of couchsurfing.
Music is a meaningful part of my life, I spend a lot of time listening to it. I like to read stuff, anything.
I am a vegetarian; I try to live my life as simply as possible, from transportation, to what I eat, to what I buy and the way I make day to day decisions. I love to meet new people from anywhere In the world. and I am very open minded. Studying now anthroposophy and valldorf education and work as a kinder garden at the kibbutz

PHILOSOPHY

To try my best to live in tune with the environment around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am opening my home to couchsurfers from around the world, I am trying to expand my ideas of different people and cultures. I plan to travel, hopefully using couchsurfing during this time, and I am happy to host while I can in Israel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have hosted, and it has been a pleasure hosting and showing other people the place which I call home. I have enjoyed learning about my couchsurfer's philosophies and ideas about living life. Couchsurfing has allowed me to take new ideas and expand on my own life.

Interests

Right now I'm very interested in travel, nutrition, in reading as much as possible, listening to good music, and learning about different life And philosophies .
I worked in special education as a teacher assistant in an alternative school. I also facilitate workshops involving my knowledge of society, economy, ideas of sharing and living a community focused lifestyle. Now I'm working as kinder-garden at the kibbutz.
