About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Figure out what my current mission is.

ABOUT ME

From one moment to the next, I can't help but think I'm not at all the same person I was before and certainly not the same as I will be. I've been in search of a greater truth since I was very small, and my path has just shifted completely from where I thought it was taking me; so, to be continued...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, and I believe in the idea of a shifting consciousness where we come to realize more and more that there aren't actually borders or differences other than those we have created. It's very amazing to experience people opening their homes and selves to me and learn to do the same.

Interests

I'm a spiritual seeker, epigenetic enthusiast, and yogi who adores children and has a knack for taming elusive cats and other animals. I love to practice and teach Kundalini Yoga, travel, be outdoors (still working on making friends with the cold), and generally just going with the flow of the moment. I'm constantly discovering who I am.

Music, Movies, and Books

I fondly remember Everything is Illuminated (the book), which I spent an entire ski vacation reading. No other book has spoken to my heart and made me bawl quite like this one.

The Master and Margarita by Milkhail Bulgakov is a great read and I got a history lesson on a road trip from my parents between audiobook chapters as a bonus before I ever read it in English. The Soviet Union had incredible artists who skillfully spoke true messages through the most unexpected mediums, and it never ceases to amaze me when I discover another layer.

Recently: Many Lives Many Masters by Dr. Brian Weiss and The Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton. I loved The Red Tent which is initiating me back into women's mysteries. I've also been exposed to Charles Eisenstein (Sacred Economics) and little-by-little am making my way through his powerful works. I highly recommend him to anyone even though my encounters with him have still been quite limited.

Anything by Eckhart Tolle whose book of epithets, Stillness Speaks, also opened my heart (and, yes, made me cry) a few years ago while traveling through Chihuahua, Mexico with family.

I love reading, but over the last year my desire for it has lessened in its inverse relationship to the part of me that wants direct experience has increased.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to leave this open-ended. It's very different for me being with different people, as different experiences, stories, and skills come out to be shared.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a great listener and tend to inadvertently create space for people to open up and share a lot with me. So, there's that. But I can also make a delicious (and very paleo-style) vegan cookie, Ayurvedic Kichadi, or invite you to practice yoga in the morning with me.
