Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like exploring new territory, meeting new people and adopting knowledge about different ways of living life. I suppose most cultural anthropologists do.

Couchsurfing for me, is a fun and easy way to meet the people that make up the country - and give something back as I'm absorbing it all :).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped of the highest bridge in Blaukrans. But that was not it. The amazing thing was meeting the man that was going to jump after me. He was 89. His back straight as an arrow and about a head shorter than I was. 'Ladies first', he said.

I asked him if he was as scared as I was, because he sure wasn't giving it away, and he said 'Not really, this is my second time. I was here yesterday with my wife. She's 91'.

If there had been a window of opportunity for me to not jump, and just walk back down, it closed right then and there. I jumped. Dignity in tact.
