Overview
About Me
I'm an Argentinean living in Nijmegen, Netherlands, after several years in Italy.
I grew up in a small city in the northern Patagonia in Argentina. Moved to Buenos Aires to study and lived with some friends for several years.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted and I have been hosted several times. Each time was good. Sometimes great. To take care of and to be taken care by strangers brings a nice feeling. If what you see in Couchsurfing would be a valid sample of humanity, then things would be much better.
Interests
I'm interested in many things. Mainly science and music, but also literature, cinema, politics and so.
And I really try to do something about my interests. I'm in a current mission to equalize what I like with what I do.
For example, I love climbing! I haven't gone climbing in probably one year... so, can I say that I'm a climber? I don't think so. I should go back to taking lessons (I will!!).
I love photography! I almost always carry my camera with me and always use it in manual. I have two film pinhole cameras. One I bought and one I built myself out of a matchbox. So, photography can stay on my list.
I love dancing. This has been a late discovery in life but I'm doing it a lot. Tango mostly, and since one year, lindy hop (swing) and blues. I usually dance at least 2 times per week, so I can also put dancing on the list of things I currently do.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music:I really enjoy listening to many different types of music, but mainly I like progressive/psychedelic music from the 70's and many of the flavors of metal. When I travel I like to listen to local music styles.
Movies: My favorite director is Stanley Kubrick. Other directors I like are Terry Gilliam, Akira Kurosawa, Woody Allen and Almodovar, just to name some. Now I'm going through a Bergman period.
Books: Here are some books, authors I like..
"Steppenwolf" Hermann Hess
"1984" Orwell
"The name of the rose" Eco
"The Unbearable Lightness of Being" Kundera
Sabato and Borges (but I prefer Sabato)
