About Me

I'm a lover of travel and of new cultures who also happens to be a Law Student out to make a change in this world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, I'm still a student and the cash flow is low at this point in time, so I'm on Couchsurfing essentially due to budgetary reasons. And also because I love meeting new people and living and experiencing new cultures, not as a tourist, but as a local.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm an out of the closet Swiftie. Actually I was never in the closet about it. So a huge Swiftie over her. Apart form that I also enjoy Adele and Ed Sheeran quite a bit. So mostly pop and country music.

Usually inspirational movies which are based on biographies or historical events. So the last three movies I watched were Steve Jobs, Freedom Writers and Anne Frank: The Whole Story.

Books, phew! I used to be an avid reader back in the day. But sadly, not anymore. Since I'm in Italy at the moment, I've started reading Angels and Demons. A little cliche I know. Some of my favourite books include: A Thousand Splendid Suns (by Khalid Hosseini), The Lost Symbol (by Dan Brown), Pride and Prejudice (by Jane Austen), The Princess series (by Jean Sasson), Desert Flower and Desert Dawn (by Waris Dirie).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teaching Human Rights to Middle School children in Gavardo, Province of Brescia, Italy. It's a volunteer project for EduChange.

Teach, Learn, Share

I learn something new every moment of everyday (okay so now that is an exaggeration, but you get the feel) and as I teach and give back to the community, which has given me so much, I continue to learn. I even learn from the students I teach. It's a pretty spectacular experience. And sharing, is there a greater satisfaction than that? Around sharing, all human values of kindness, love and compassion are wrapped. This is the kind of stuff that I teach my students. But... you gotta admit it's also true.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Love, laughter and a good time.
Also legal advice and possibly counselling. I'm the go to girl for all of life's issues (for all my friends at least).

Countries I’ve Visited

China, France, India, Italy, Singapore

Countries I’ve Lived In

Sri Lanka
