About Me

I am a traveler by heart and by occupation. I go to a university that takes me around the world in 4 years - I move countries every semester and explore the globe while immersing in all kinds of different cultures. I study art and communications and political science. For me traveling and surrounding yourself with a new unknown environment is a way of understanding the world better.

I love animals but my lifestyle doesn't allow for me to have a pet at the moment so I would take any opportunity to interact with animals, be that in the desert in Egypt or a jungle in India, or a cozy living room.

I also love singing and dancing - everything from Latino to ballroom, to folk and clubbing, as long as you're moving and there's music, which doesn't mean I am great at it.
I love talking about art and culture and get overly excited in discussions about current events or the importance of what we call art or how we interact with it.
Finally, I love experiencing places rather than just seeing them. I would take an interesting conversation over tea instead of a museum visit any day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I love traveling, meeting people and exploring places around the world.
I travel on my own, set my own terms, schedule and route and try to immerse myself in places as much as possible, rather than check off tourist bucket lists.
Traveling alone doesn't mean being alone all the time and Couchsurfing has helped me meet amazing people in the places I visit and has given me wonderful company and a local's perspective.

Music, Movies, and Books

Deep inside me lives a geek who fires up talking about Doctor Who, Sherlock, classic games, comic books, and other nerd-exciting topics. But that is paired with a deep passion for historical fiction like "The book thief" and "Night".

When it comes to music I am a die-hard fan of Rock n Roll and classic Rock, classic Jazz and Blues, and Country and anything that can make me dance! Also currently obsessed with Tom Grennan and some other young amazing voices.

I like documentaries. The kind of documentaries that make you stop and think, change your mindset, motivations, ambitions and teach you about people and the world.
So far my favorite has been "Salt of the earth", which has shaped me and my work as a photographer.
On the comedy side, "Behind the curve" is a beautifully hilarious documentary by the Flat Earth society that has had me laughing with tears the whole time, would recommend 10/10

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught a computer course to elderly people for 2 years and managed to teach my students (aged 60-85) how to use the internet, Skype, emojis, email, YouTube, Wikipedia, etc.

Now I travel the world as part of my university program and live in countries on different continents, meeting and engaging with locals and immersing in their culture and lifestyle while pursuing a dual-degree in global economics and art!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to dance, tell stories, be spontaneous, sing off tune and cook (especially baking)! I'd be more than happy to share with you lots of stories about where I come from and where I've been, share our cuisine, history and customs with you and make you the best chocolate cookies, lemon cake, banana bread.. that you've ever had.
