To know new people in new places, is better have someone to share new experiences and have the culture of a local walking with you, it is not the same being in a place for tourist with thousand people waiting for a picture than being in a great spot that not too much people know, also every place has its mystique and reality that not always is showed to tourist. So travel like a local will be the best option.
