About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Discover the world! (Not like Christopher Columbus!)
ABOUT ME
A right brained (artist) Bay Area born and raised guy in the midst of a transition!... I left corporate America in November and looking to challenge myself through new experiences, discover new interests, make new connections, relationships, maybe even gain insight into my Eastern European roots? I'm traveling Europe starting April 15th with no end date set, very excited for the unknown and meeting great people along the way. Understanding world cultures and history, appreciating and living art, music and humor with others is vital to how I view and experience the world. Looking forward to meeting you!
PHILOSOPHY
Equilibrium. disequilibrium. Finding the sweetspot, sustaining it for as long as it's meant to be. Making people laugh. Open mindedness, values, creativity, exploring the boundaries.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Given I haven't surfed couches yet, only waves, I see this as a unique opportunity to really experience different cultures from a non-tourist perspective, and meet wonderful people who are likeminded, yet have other perspectives I do not have. Most importantly, people that share a curiosity for life, and are open minded, kind and compassionate. And FUNNY. Is that too much to ask??????

The Big Lebowski, Dumb and Dumber, Wes Anderson movies.....
The Beatles, Neil Young, Of Montreal, Ariel Pink, Conor Oberst, Fleet Foxes, too many to list!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Personally built and grew a volunteer program within my last company, getting 230 coworkers to volunteer in Central America, raising $600K over 2-1/2 years, building schools in Costa Rica, El Salvador and Nicaragua. Built a high school with a community in Nicaragua in 2013!
-Lived in Club Zayante in 2005 with the original owner, a famous live music club in the Santa Cruz mountains during the late sixties and early seventies (where Neil Young, John Lee Hooker, Jerry Miller of Moby Grape played). 1 year later in 2006 it burned to the ground!
-Was Kumar Pallana's last Yoga (and Life) student
-Saw Animal Collective in Big Sur underneath the most incredible spooky fog in 2009 in front of only 400 people. Truly incredible.
-The Caribbean Ocean
-Went through the most incredible private record collection of 50's, 60's, 70's rock, classical music, and movie soundtracks one could possibly imagine. Got to keep a few. This was a couple weeks ago. It blew my mind.
-I've seen Stevie Wonder, Arcade Fire, Neil Young, live
Many more things I cannot think of! :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I guess my realm, or what I seem to offer a lot of my friends is life philosophy, emotional insight. Some kind of contextual analysis of the human experience, thus the personal experience, as I understand it now, of course always subject to change :)
