About Me

Brisbane girl who just came back from a long-ass 'self discovery' trip in Asia, planning to study Anthropology at the University of Melbourne.

I have a fiery affair with travelling and my side mistresses are hole-in-the-wall live music bars and food trucks.

I have genuine interest in getting to know people and having a good time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At the moment, I am seeking a place in Melbourne to stay for a short time. A few high school buds and myself are hunting for sharehouses right now, to no avail. I'll be in Melbourne very soon, and we're not sure if we'll have anything settled when I arrive.

^ Besides that dilemma, I'm on CS to meet new people and share experiences with people from all walks of life, cultures and traditions.

Interests

I love to sing and spend time with the people I love - sharing stories, silly jokes and laughter.

Strong interest in language and culture - bit of a geek when it comes to humanities.

I want to dance more often than not.

To be honest I'm up for anything I haven't tried, so if it's new and untested, it is in my interest to explore it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love a little bit of everything - classic rock, blues rock, rap, R 'n' B, downtempo, doom metal - as long as I can groove to it, it's my cup of tea.

Tarantino films have a special place in my heart. Lost in Translation, American Beauty, Snatch, In Bruges and (something by David Lynch or Sofia Coppola or Wes Anderson) are all great films. Deadpool is a recent favourite.

As for books, I can't stay away from a beautifully written one - something from the likes of Carlos Ruiz and Murakami (although usually I get sick of him 600 pages in).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Braved most of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos on a motorbike - easily one of the best experiences of my life. Gained a couple of brutal scars from it but hey, the reward was much greater than the loss.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share with you my experiences in Asia - both the good and the bad.

I can teach you English and lend an ear.

Id love to learn about your aspirations, passions and ideals.

I want to learn about anything you can teach me - not only the culture and traditions of your country but also any personal skills you like to share.

I reaally want (need) to learn how to cook too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my laughter and positivity, as well as my experiences travelling. Being 18, I haven't exactly experienced a lot and this is my first touch of adult life. Please be patient with me and I love to listen to whatever experiences or words you share with me.
