Hey!

My name is Yannick I‘m from Germany and am currently studying Business & Computer Science at TU Darmstadt. Before I continue my studies, going for a masters degree, me and a friend of mine are going on a month long roadtrip through the US. It‘s my fourth time visiting, because I just love the country :) In my free time I like hanging out with friends, reading and having interesting discussions about all sorts of things, as well as building and programming things, which help me in my daily live or just for fun :D. love visiting other countries to experience their cultures and ways of living. That’s why couchsurfing to me, sounds like a great opportunity to meeting and connecting with new people from all around the world. I am looking forward to meeting you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to directly meet local people in the countries I am traveling, because I think it’s a much better way to gain insight about their lifestyle and culture. I have been to Amsterdam, where I stayed at an apartment of a local guy and he gave me great tips on beautiful spots in the city, which I otherwise would have never gotten from a typical guidebook.

Interests

I almost always listen to music wherever I am, I’m going to the movies regularly and I like reading. I am also interested in soccer and other sports.

I just love food, that’s why I’m also interested in fitness and nutrition, to keep myself in shape :D One of my more unusual interests is programming and building things, which makes me feel like a nerd sometimes ;)

Another thing that I really enjoy is having discussions with other people about all sorts of things. Whether it’s about philosophy, psychology, lifestyle, business or the universe, I always like to talk about this stuff, even when I’m not that knowledgeable in a specific topic.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to rap and hip hop music and a little bit of pop. It’s too difficult for me to name my favorite songs, movies or shows, because there are just too many :D

As far as reading goes, I like to read different types of books, so I’ve read many fiction, lifestyle, business and self-improvement books.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to solve a Rubik’s cube, have a discussion with you or teach you some programming...or even some math if you’d like to ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

You can talk with me about pretty much anything, even if it’s just random stuff :D I can share experiences about my travels and maybe teach you some German :)
