About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live, share, learn. And save the planet (because it is urgent) !

ABOUT ME

I am a French backpacker. I try to be always curious, open-minded, smiling! I love to discover new places, new ideas, new people. If it matters, I'm queer. :)

I lived for almost 10 years in Strasbourg, France (you should have a look at the cathedral, it's amazing)! But I also had the opportunity to live in the US for a few years (Boston for one year in 2010-2011, Chicago for 6 months in 2015, Berkeley for one year in 2016-2017). I am always happy to travel back to North America, visit my friends and make new friends!

PHILOSOPHY

Not quite settled yet. I'm still learning from others what my personal philosophy should be.

However, I am interested in psychoanalysis, in Asian philosophies, in nature/plants/animals as an inspiration. That said, I always looking for other inspirations and solutions.

I also think that it is better to have long discussions than to have taboos.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe it is a great way to meet with (often fascinating) people. I also think that it is a great way to travel: local people already know the best of their city and can share it with you. In return, you can share your excitement with them and talk about your own experiences.

I have had the opportunity to surf some couches already. It has always been an amazing experience! For instance, eating Alligator sandwiches in New Orleans, or discovering a new view over Philadelphia = magical memories!

Unfortunately, my place was too tiny for so many years to be hosting myself. I hope I can move to a bigger apartment soon to be able to have a couch and host myself.

Interests

Board games, local food, nature watching, biking, hiking, opera, movies, theater, drinks, drag queen shows, and so many other things.

New people, new places, new food.

Music, Movies, and Books

So many and always changing so it is not easy to answer that question... I'm eager to discover new stuff!

Here are some examples:

Music?
Opera and Classical Music in general (Verdi, Mozart, etc.)
Pop music (Madonna, Marina and the Diamond, Robyn, etc.)
Electronic music (Fakear, Metronomy, Daft Punk, etc.)
Other kinds (Ibrahim Maalouf, music from musicals, etc.)

Movies?
I am afraid of horror movies. Appart from them, I like so many movies...

Books?
Agatha Christie, JK Rowling, Tolkien, Maurice Druon, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I flew over Greenland on a sunny day. Was amazing to me, and also very beautiful. I hope I can have a chance to go there one day... :)

I visited the tower of the Cathedral of Strasbourg one day at night (special visits for the 1000-year anniversary!!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn more about architecture, music and foreign languages. I would also be very happy to learn how to do some gardening and plant organic vegetables. And also how to cook vegan food (I am not vegan but I want to reduce the amount of meat I eat).

I can cook "quiche Lorraine" pretty well (with or without meat). I can have passionate political debates. I can talk about constitutional law and administrative law in France (I taught it for three years) which is probably not what you're looking for. I can decorate a room and draw plans.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Experience the bars and restaurants.

Hike all around the countryside.
