About Me
Hello there!
My name's Yannic and I am currently living in Stuttgart, Germany. I am a really outgoing, happy and talkative person and always interested in making new friends and exchange my stories with theirs.
Currently I am working for IBM as HR Professional in Stuttgart. At the same time I am pursuing my Masters Degree in Business Management. I'm fluent in German and English, got really basic skills in Spanish and I'm about to start studying Japanese.
I've lived in the Philippines for half a year to study for one semester at a local University as an exchange student.
If you're interested in meeting up or if you have questions or need a place to stay - don't hesitate and just contact me. I'll do the best I can in order to make your stay unforgettable.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Seeing another culture and country through the eyes of a local is, in my opinion, the best way to experience the new impressions. Since I love to deepdive into foreign cultures and places together with locals, I am also offering my place and experiences to you in case you make it to Germany.
Hearing about your stories, experiences and journeys is really exciting for me. And I am more than willing to provide you with new stories and experiences you can pass on in case we meet!

Music, Movies, and Books
As for the music, I am pretty diverse. It depends on what I am doing right now and how my mood is. It can range from Metal (Slayer, Disturbed, Metallica,...) to Drum and Bass, Classical Music (Mozart and alike), Pop and Rap.
I usually prefer Actionmovies, Comedies and Thrillers. However, lately I got sucked into the never ending vortex of Anime and Manga. (By the way, that is the reason I am starting to learn Japanese! Already scared to face Hanji hahaha)
Regarding books, apart from Manga, I'm quiet investment-oriented. Rich Dad Poor Dad, The 4-Hour Week, etc...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living on the Philippines for half a year and being pushed into a completely different culture and environment. Literally came back as another person.
Teach, Learn, Share
My favorite quote regarding success in life (Will Smith):
"You don't start out by saying you're going to build a wall. You don't start and say 'I'm going to build the biggest, baddest, greatest wall that has ever been built'. You don't start there. You start with one brick. And you lay that brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid. Do that every single day and soon, you'll have a wall."
In other words: Pursue your dreams one step at a time. Be patient and don't lose sight of the finish line. Keep walking continuously and you will eventually make it and build your own, personal wall.
