My name is Yannis and I'm 24 years old. I'm a new engineer and I'm working near Monza for a few months
Even though, I find that career is not the only thing that defines someone, but it probably stems from the fact that I am not at all a careerist (which is a pity for an engineer, but hey 😋).

Apart from that, I'm a big fan of music, especially rock and metal (Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Iron Maiden and so on 😍), I love to make people discover music ! I also listen to Blues and jazz, and even electro, rap or punk, but less often.

I love meeting people around a board game or a role-playing game, it's one of the few things I have a lot of patience for. Around a drinking game too, but it's not the same context...

Ah and I'm an ecological biker too 🙃

Je m'appelle Yannis et j'ai 24 ans. Je suis nouvellement ingénieur et je travaille vers Monza pour quelques mois
Malgré ça je trouve que la carrière n'est pas la seule chose qui définit quelqu'un, mais ça découle sans doute du fait que je ne sois absolument pas carriériste (ce qui est dommage pour un ingénieur, mais bon 🤭)

A part ça je suis un grand fan de musique, surtout le rock et le metal (Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Iron Maiden et j'en passe 😃), j'adore faire découvrir de la musique à mon entourage ! J'écoute également du Blues et du Jazz, voire même de l'électro, du rap ou du punk, mais moins souvent.

J'aime beaucoup rencontrer les gens autour d'un jeu de société ou d'un jeu de rôle, c'est une des rares choses pour laquelle j'ai une grande patience. Autour d'un jeu à boire aussi, mais c'est pas le même contexte...

Ah et je suis un motard écolo aussi 🙃

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love Italy and I'd like to meet some new people there, I figured couchsurfing is a cool way to do so. If I can, i'll gladly welcome surfers in my future appartment. I would really like to travel in Italy and meet new people aswell !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Ireland, when my family and I wanted to go to the local pub for a drink (we lived in the middle of nowhere), we entered the bar to find what must have been 80% of the village sitting around a dozen musicians (5 to 15 years old) playing traditional music. We sat down next door to listen to them, then two young violinists stood up to tap dance in front of us. It was a really profound experience.

En Irlande, alors que moi et ma famille souhaitions aller au pub local pour boire un verre (nous habitions au milieu de rien), nous sommes entrés dans le bar pour y trouver ce qui devait-être 80% du village attablés autour d'une douzaine de musiciens (5 à 15 ans) en train de jouer des musiques traditionnelles. Nous nous sommes assis à côté afin de les écouter, puis deux jeunes violonistes se sont levées pour faire des claquettes face à nous. C'était une expérience vraiment profonde.

- Lactose tolerance (adult) came into play because a Viking who was genetically impaired had many offspring. That's why most Asians are lactose intolerant, because they don't have that person in their family tree.

- If we had no cholesterol at all, the arteries would then be unprotected and very sensitive, therefore much more prone to bleeding.

- Screaming continuously for 1 year and 7 months provides enough energy to heat a cup of coffee.

- Much of Albert Einstein's work was done in collaboration with his wife, who was better at mathematics than he was.

J'aime beaucoup la vulgarisation, scientifique ou psychologique souvent. Quelques fun facts en vrac :

- La tolérance au lactose (adulte) est intervenue parce qu'un viking qui l'était par une particularité génétique a eu beaucoup de descendant. C'est pour ça que la plupart des asiatiques sont intolérants au lactose, car ils n'ont pas cette personne dans leur arbre généalogique.

- Si nous n'avions pas du tout de cholestérol, les artères alors privées de protection seraient très sensibles et bien plus sujettes à des hémorragies.

- En hurlant en continue pendant 1 an et 7 mois, on fournie assez d'énergie pour chauffer une tasse de café.
