About Me
Hey! I’m a Chinese student currently doing my Master’s in Computer Science at Durham University, UK. I’m outgoing, spontaneous, and genuinely curious about the world and the people in it. I believe the best way to travel is to live like a local — eat where they eat, walk where they walk, and listen to their stories. Life is a fairy tale if you’re brave enough to explore it. ✨
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I don’t want just to be a tourist. I want to understand a city through the eyes of someone who actually lives there — the history, the culture, the tiny details that never make it into guidebooks. Couchsurfing is the closest thing to truly belonging somewhere, even for just a few days.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is always with me when I travel. I like different styles like country, folk, Mandopop.
For movies, I enjoy touching stories like Forrest Gump and Harry Potter, as well as road-trip films and documentaries about real people.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the best things I’ve done is becoming a bridge between cultures, especially in my class while studying in the UK. I actively connected international and Chinese students, starting conversations, helping people communicate, and making sure no one felt left out.
I was often the one breaking the ice and bringing people together, and over time, it turned our class into a more open and friendly environment.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’ve worked as a ski instructor on Chinese slopes, volunteered at a horse ranch, and even spent time as a background actress at Hengdian, China’s largest film studio (think Chinese Hollywood). I can teach you how to cook a proper Chinese meal from scratch, show you the basics of Aikido. In return, I’d love to learn local recipes, pick up a few phrases of your language, and hear the stories behind the places you call home.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A home-cooked Chinese dinner 🍜, stories from my solo trips across Asia and North Africa, a willingness to explore your city with fresh eyes, and a small gift from China or wherever I’ve just been. I’m tidy, respectful of your space, and I genuinely enjoy good conversation over a meal.
