About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm on the road with my love learning how we want to build and who we want to build with. We're traveling through the southeast staying with various farms and collectives. I'm also working individually and collectively for survival, healing, resistance, and liberation. I'm particularly interested in storytelling, art, and building communities that have revolutionary potential.

ABOUT ME

I'm a queer person of indeterminate gender (I use they/them pronouns) and a lover of poetry, storytelling, skillshares/alt education, cooking/sharing meals, tearing oppressive shit down, imagining new worlds, queer love/rage/magic, making music, herbal medicine, radical mental health, witchy stuff, urban farming, long conversations, laughter, hospitality, collective process, and much more.

My life is in flux at present and I don't have a space to host, but check back with me in the future.

PHILOSOPHY

"You cannot buy the revolution. You cannot make the revolution. You can only be the revolution. It is in your spirit, or it is nowhere." ~ Ursula K. LeGuin

“Expect the end of the world. Laugh. Laughter is immeasurable. Be joyful, though you have considered all the facts.” - Wendell Berry

“We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.” - Anais Nin

"Everything you feel is okay." ~ Andrea Gibson

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't do favorites, but here's some stuff I enjoy right now:

Movies: Frances Ha, Waking Life, Magnolia, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Moonrise Kingdom, Pina, Steven Universe,

Music: Amanda Palmer, Elephant Revival, Florence and the Machine, Wilco, Nina Simone, Joy Kills Sorrow, Neutral Milk Hotel, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Kimya Dawson, Defiance Ohio

Books: Dixie Be Damned; Seed to Seed; Revolutionary Mothering; Indigenous People's History of the United States; Salt (poetry); the Smell of Good Mud;

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve stood naked under a freezing-cold waterfall in rural Tennessee with a bunch of friends and strangers. Twice.

I survived a night lost alone in the North Georgia woods in December.

I've stargazed in the Simien Mountains of Ethiopia with an old wild donkey chilling next to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d like to learn more about dancing, homesteading, wilderness survival, wildcrafting, meditation, burlesque, witchy stuff, flow arts, gardening/farming, building, and aerial silks. Also very interested in learning street medic work and there's not much support for it in the southeast, so lemme know if you have connections.

I can teach some about Theatre of the Oppressed, Social Artistry, herbal medicine, homesteading, communal/collective living, farming, group facilitation, cooking/baking, and immigration/refugee issues.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm an excellent adventure buddy and always down to try/see/experience something new. I can also offer some knowledge of herbalism, cooking, emotional intelligence, communal/collective living, conflict resolution and communication, Theatre of the Oppressed, Social Artistry etc. I can write you a poem and play three to four songs on the ukulele.
