Overview
About Me
Hi I'm Yasemin and I recently moved to Vancouver.
I'm a designer, traveler, adventurer, mostly equipped with my camera. OriginallyI'm from Germany, I'm half Turkish and I've lived for some time in San Francisco, studied and worked there. I love to explore cities by walking, strolling through supermarkets and try local restaurants and coffee. I'm always down for deep conversations or to just casually hang out at the beach and enjoy the small things in life. I'm also a very tidy and organized person.
I quit my pretty great job in Germany, sold all my stuff and bought a one way ticket to Vancouver.
I'm restless and ambitious, but I enjoy breaks just as much. I'm optimistic and enthusiastic, but realistic. I like to dream big, take even bigger steps and embrace the unknown.
I still really want to go to Japan and SEA countries.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to get to know new places by getting to know the locals, live how they live and eat where they live :) I love to share experiences, everything I know (German, cooking or baking anyone?) and to get to know many interesting people and maybe new friends :)
I've already made a very good friend via CouchSurfing a couple of years ago, when I accidentally stranded in a city for 24hours and since then I love the whole concept!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Moved to a new continent for good without ever having been there before.
- Climbing rooftops and abandoned places to get a nice view (and sometimes I even take a picture or two)
- What else is amazing? Surfing in Hawaii... Sandboarding in Florence, Oregon.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Kindness, language skills, anything I can give. I didn't bring any specialties from Germany so I'm afraid I can't give a lot of material stuff, however it'd be my pleasure to cook an awesome Turkish dish or so :) Maybe a photo shoot, some nice portraits of you?
