I believe to fully get to know yourself, you need to step out of your comfort zone. What better way to do so than with couchsurfing, and staying with other locals. Everyone has their own perspective on life and couchsurfing provides a great platform to get to know people you wouldn't meet on the daily.

Also, sometimes you just don't have the finances to pay for accommodation. Couchsurfing is a great alternative to that problem!
