Hi! I am an International Studies major from Johns Hopkins University, currently doing study abroad at Waseda University. I want to explore as much of Japan as possible while I am here!

I also absolutely love food, and especially Japanese food. One of my favorite parts of traveling is trying new types of local food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't want to just stay at hotels, but I want to connect with the locals when I am traveling to a certain place. I think it's important to meet new and diverse people when you can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the Beatles, contemporary rap, Beyonce, Prince, and Rihanna. I also like alternative rock, like Radiohead.

I like any genre of movies! From documentaries to romantic comedies. One movie I like a lot is Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind.

I've just finished reading Rubyfruit Jungle, while I liked very much. I also enjoyed reading Frankenstein, books by Banana Yoshimoto, Celeste Ng, and Miyuki Miyabe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have gone bungee jumping before, one of the scariest things I have done in my life.

I have also gone hitchhiking in Japan! It was an amazing experience and the people were more than generous. We've stopped at wasabi farms and tried wasabi ice cream, and received large amounts of Japanese snacks!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have had a lot of experience with teaching English! I can also cook some Korean food. :)
