About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Bicycle adventurer and music freak looking for the ultimate goal of the human predicament ...

ABOUT ME

You can find out yourself. I love all sorts of music -as long as it is special and interesting - and have a big collection, started with vinyl around 1965, I still have about 800 LPs to which I listen almost daily. I don't have a radio or TV.

I like to cycle a lot and every year I fly to Asia and take my bike along for a great experience. Now I have a second home on Mindanao/Philippines. If you travel near Cagayan de Oro and need a room please contact me.

I'm a graphic designer but have been unemployed for some years now - sort of retired, only working for friends sometimes.

I see myself as a spiritual person ...

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a Gnostic Christian and (lacto-) vegetarian. Do to others like you want them to do to you ...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to cycle and do that a lot, therefore I'm a member of Warmshowers.org, a special hosting community for cyclists. As Germany has not too many members yet I couchsurf now because often it is hard to find a host when cycling long distances in Germany.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had quite some experience with CS on long-distance cycling trips the last years. I hosted a CS guy from Maastricht on a regular basis because he had to work in my home town after his employer sold his company. Plus I made many friends along the way ...

Interests

Cycling, especially in Asia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and the Philippines, music and my stereo set which I think is excellent.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to list. I like Porcupine Tree, Tangerine Dream, The Faces, Airto etc. etc. and have loads of movies on my hard disks and hundreds of CDs, LPs and DAT-tapes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm an adventurous person and lived a crazy life - hippie lifestyle and looking for the spiritual, traveled a lot, too much to talk about here. I can tell my stories to a guest or host if he/she is interested ...

Teach, Learn, Share

Exactly - learn and share but do not try to teach. Everyone has his own lessons to learn, life is his/her teacher.
