ABOUT ME

I'm a starving artist whose somewhat bored with life. I need a drastic change in lifestyle. I was engaged to be married and it didn't work out. Having almost followed in the direction of my parents ie kids, a house, stable life, I spontaneously purchased a one way ticket to Ireland. I don't have much money so I'm going to try to make it across Europe spending as little cash as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in me. I'm constantly trying to better myself through new experiences. I can feel stagnant very quickly therefore I'm always changing aspects of myself and surroundings to maintain a constant flux. I live my life for myself and the betterment of the world through art. I believe in art and it's ability to create change. I'm on a constant search for art that has the ability to alter thought patterns and cause a "real," previously unattained experience.

I'm very new to the project and am looking to participate.

I currently have no couch surfing experience,although i'm very excited for my first trip.

Interessi

I'm very interested in all aspects of the arts. This included an emphasis on contemporary fine art. But I love the theater and independent music as well. I'm an avid snowboarder and generally like anything outdoors. I like to hike and camp and ride my bike. I also enjoy the occasional party or bar...

Musica, film e libri

My favorite movie would have to Fight Club, but I'm a fan of almost anything. I'm very into indie films and am always up for a good movie I have or haven't seen. As far as music goes I usually listen to alternative rock like The Killers, The Shins, Modest Mouse. Right now I'm a little obsessed with The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie. I listen to some rap, and I like some indie rock. Books range anywhere from novels to non-fiction biographies. I'm currently reading "Rant" by Chuck Palahniuk and "Into the Wild" written by Jon Krakauer.

Still waiting for that amazing thing. I've had numerous adventures, but they all seem somewhat bland after some time. To date the most amazing thing would have to be holding my nephew right after he was born. I was 12 and he was so small!

I have extensive knowledge in the art world including art history and skills associated with art creation. I know how to paint, weld, cast concrete and plaster.
I also have a lot of experience with video editing. Computers are a hobby of mine as well as an art tool. Anyone needing to learn how to use Adobe CS3 I would be glad to help.
