Hi,

I am Seemant Mishra (26 male), originally from India, but am currently studying physics in Germany. I am a little introverted, but I am trying to be more outgoing and adventurous. In fact I am very new to couch surfing, but the idea of meeting new people from various cities and cultures, and possibly making friends seems really cool to me. So here I am :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Leaving aside the benefit of relatively cheap travels, I like getting to know people. And couch surfing provides a good way to do that, authentically combining both the aspects of having fun, and getting to know someone.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Generally I like listening to all kinds of music that sounds interesting. I have a speacial fondness for indie-folk-ish music though. Some of the artists I listen to: Novo Amor, Jacob Collier, Nick Drake, Elliot Smith, Iron and Wine, Polyphia, Haken, Radiohead, Billie Marten, Vancouver Sleep Clinic, The paper kites. Recently also developing an interest in Indian music. I also try to make similar music :)

Movies: I used to watch a lot of movie a while ago. Recently it has decreased a bit. An absurd comedy I still remember watching was The Lobster. Then an italian movie exploring psychology of people I liked was Dogman. Then most recent movie I remember for its chaos was Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Books: Not a very big reader, but have read a few books like Kokoro, Norwegian woods, Midnight Library, Traveling cat chronicles. Next on the list is I am a cat.

Sports: recently have become interested in sports like badminton, bouldering and a bit of running.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I do not have a lot of traveling stories because I am very new to this, but I can offer a very keen listening ear to all your hosting and surfing stories :) . I can also cook indian food if you would like.
