ABOUT ME

I'm a student in college right now interested in traveling and experience the world and all that that encompasses. I really like radio, languages, being outside, being inside, rain, Pink, and biking.

I would also like to add that I will strive to not be a "fair-weather" surfer or host, and no matter what my financial and personal conditions, my couch will be available for those who need it.

PHILOSOPHY

Due to a severe lack of vocabulary, I also have a tendancy to type in caps in order to emphasize certain apparently important concepts.

I should start by saying that this is a tad overwhelming. The prompts have become increasingly demanding, and as of right now I wish i could open my scull, take some of the essence of Brendan Coffey, and upload it onto couchserfing.org

Having said all of that....
I guess for right now all I have to say is SAFETY IS OVER RATED.

Now before all those with motherly instinct get their panties in a knot, of if my own mother is for some reason looking for a couch to surf on, let me clarify.

Life is not lived in the situations where you are in your comfort zone. That's what I call the 'side lines.' It is experiences that challenge and scare you that the real stuff of life is found. DON'T AVOID THESE SITUATIONS. This a very difficult thing to achieve, and even I have a hard time choosing the scarier, yet potentially more rewarding choice.

KEY CONCEPT- Sometimes, we take risks and they don't play out well. We get hurt, we lose money, we feel stupid, etc. Now, as far as I'm concerned these are the most important points of our lives, the times that we LEARN.
