ABOUT ME

I was an ejection seat mechanic in the Navy for five years. From there I went to the University of Washington, then to Amazon.com for another five years. A few years ago I decided to leave the corporate world and started a construction company called Mechanical Animals Construction, www.mechanicalanimals.com. That's it. That brings you up to date.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked across the Olympic Peninsula in one day (33 miles). Maybe more stupid than amazing but there it is.

CouchSurfing has an interesting side effect for people like me who don't keep up on house chores. I always have something better to do than to clean my house. It never fails. Someone sends me email at the last minute needing a place to stay and I'm forced to clean my house. Even if they choose to stay somewhere else I get a clean house out of the deal.
