About Me

**Not sure why some aren't showing up, but I've surfed four times in two countries as of Feb 2019. Haven't hosted yet.**

Animation major studying abroad.
From İstanbul, the city of cats!

Currently trying to make the transition of becoming an adult while trying to spend much of my time travelling.

Always trying to be an open-minded optimist. Always enthusiastic and curious about new things, new places, new people, new activities. Happiest in nature, hiking, camping, backpacking or in the water. Definetly open to talking about politics, news and world issues. Mostly an artsy crafty creative person with lots of interest in science. Eating might be a hobby more than a survival method. Ex vegeterian who gave up while trying new food in new places. Either outside and very active, or stuck on the couch reading/watching a movie/working on projects.

Philosophy: never grow up and never lose your imagination.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Living a life where I travel frequently to get to know different kinds of people, places and perspectives is my biggest dream. This is because I want to understand as much of the world as I can and travelling seems like the perfect way to do so.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly into indie, folky stuff and alternative but always open to anything. Favorite bands in no particular order: Shakey Graves, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Radiohead, Coldplay, Alt-J, Florence+Machine, The Killers and the list goes on but these are the ones I've always gone back to. I'm also super into a lot of dark folk/southern gothic lately.

Mr.Nobody, Before Sunrise series, Wall-E in the top three but I have a whole list of favorite movies that keeps growing. I watch and get affected easily by a lot of movies but am picky on what I connect to the most. I'll add Black Mirror here cause I count those as movies too.

The Little Prince is my all time favorite book. Most of my beliefs relate to the philosophy behind it. Into the Wild comes second. I've been stuck on authors Haruki Murakami and Milan Kundera for a while too. I like spending my time on books, reading, research or learning, so there are many more in my favorites list. I can say I'm an ASOIAF fan too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking/climbing up to the mouth of a waterfall in Kabak, Fethiye. It was a scary yet amazing experience with some dangerous points. The ice-cold water at the end of it all was extremely satisfying. I'd like to do it again and bring other people with me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Don't know how much I can teach, but I'm always down to do yoga!
I could also help out if you like sketching I think - being an art student should help right?
Ooh and basic bellydancing moves!

I'd love to learn tips for sustainable living or achieve skills for survival in the wild.
Also would love to learn cooking tips and cultural dishes.

I'd enjoy sharing knowledge about constellations, space and generally the sky at night!
I've recently learned how to meditate, so i would love to share meditation knowledge!
