We are Fallou and Marie, a couple from Senegal and France, living in Brussels.
Fallou is studying welding and Marie is doing a PhD on urban hospitality towards newcomers in Brussels.
We are both 33 years old, missing two teeth (the same ones), which does not prevent us from being smiling people.
Otherwise, we like simple things: cooking, walking, talking, listening to music... :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I (Marie) began to do this because I found so important to meet people when I traveled and to see a bit of the real life of local inhabitants.
But now, I think it is becoming also political, I see it is a real alternative not only for affordable trips but to (capitalist) tourism. I see how airbnb is perverting affordable tourism but also local housing (because it is much more lucrative to rent for tourists than for locals). So, I prefer to pay you a good restaurant than to enrich people and firms that just there for that.
