About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find my Dharma and share the joy and abundance in life!

ABOUT ME

Living in Humboldt County California with my love John and my beautiful dog Sage. We're a pretty loving little family, and we're also very active people. John and I both work full time, me at the co-op and John does home care for an elderly gentleman with Parkinson's. We both love to bring a little bit of sunshine into people's lives, and to help improve people's quality of life as well. We're outdoorsy folk, who live to hike, climb, ski (alpine and nordic....John snowboards too), do yoga, spread peace and happiness. We're foodies by default (I grew up on an organic farm in middle of nowhere Wisconsin) and we love to cook good wholesome food. We're currently both learning how to surf, and will take good pointers from those who know. :)
We live the life we love and love the life we live!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to spread peace and to raise consciousness in myself and others. I try to live lightly, but don't condemn myself or others for getting sucked into the mainstream. I feel that since I have the awareness of how I am living and how I can treat others and the Earth better, that it is my responsibility to do so.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We share our space with open-minded people...citizens of the world..those who think locally and act globally. Couchsurfing is a great way to share your travels with new friends. It's a way to connect people around the world, helping us to realize that el mundo es un panuelo.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted those brave enough to venture 2 miles off the beaten path into my little off-the-grid getaway when I lived in the woods of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Those that did come out there will tell you just how amazing it was. I've also had the opportunity to do some surfing myself while bopping around the U.S. I've met some amazing people along the way, and hope to continue to make those worldwide connections.

Interests

Hiking, camping, climbing, skiing, playing with our dog Sage, saving wild areas from destruction, singing, practicing yoga, meditating, working with my hands, being around the people we love, meeting new people, figuring out how to leave less of a foot print here on this Earth.
