I grew up in central Ohio but now live in Southeast Ohio, where I've been for over ten years. I prefer the rural environment and can't imagine living in a big city again. I prefer to do things for myself instead of hiring someone to do them for me. I really like to cook and bake and am always looking for new recipes to try.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a newbie and really haven't done much to build the community just yet, although I did make a donation because I believe in the CS mission.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My Couchsurfing experience is minimal so far; I've surfed once and hosted once, and want to take the opportunity to learn about places from the people who know them best.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately I've been reading a lot of books for teenagers because I am in charge of ordering those books for the library where I work. As far as music, my favorite singer/songwriter is Tom Waits. I don't tend to like music that gets played on the radio (with a few exceptions!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been a part of the only professional music and dance group from the Southern Slavic nations.
