I discovered coach surfing at the beginning of a two week North American trek and it made a good trip into a fantastic one. Thanks everyone!

Skydiving. It was like $130, but well worth it. It's very nerve-wracking to be in the plane and realize that in several minutes you'll be jumping out at 10,000+ feet above the surface of the earth. Tension builds up until you take that leap out of the plane and for the first several seconds of free-fall your mind just tries to make sense of the situation. The wind is whipping by you and you can't hear anything. Then the parachute opens and there's this beautiful silence when everything slows down and it's the most natural thing in the world for humans to fly through the air. Everything makes sense while you gently float down.
