Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Yen, and I enjoy my life every day.
I come from Taiwan, and my full name is 吳彥寬. Currently, I do the internship in Montreal and been here almost 4 mths. I'll go traveling for 1 mth after interning. It's also my first time lived aboard, but surprisingly, I really enjoy it even at the beginning.
I love sports very much! I'm willing to try anything interesting, and I did fencing, skiing, skating, cross-country skiing, hockey during the internship in Montreal. Looking forward to trying river surfing and kayaking.
I'm a man of action and learning what I love. And always try something new and interesting.
- I love bubble tea, so I did the part-time job in drink shop.
- I love teppanyaki, so I asked to be an apprentice.
- I want the LEGO Mindstorm (programmable robot), so I get a case job to afford it, etc.
People usually feel I'm out-of-box. I'm crazy and act like a child. (Btw, look also like a child, too) There is something I did in Montreal.
- Bring homemade bubble tea to the party to share
- Attend a hackathon (Hacker + Marathon. Usually about building a project in extremely short period)
- Give myself a haircut
- Learn cooking and make a lunch box for weekday
- Attend a conference in French (I can't speak at all), etc
Btw, do u notice that!? My name is same as Japenese currency. How easy to remember it : )
PHILOSOPHY
Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Cultural and Experience exchange. I enthuse both travels and being a host.
I organized several events such as hotpot (steamboat), bubble tea time, and fencing tutor for my colleagues in Montreal. My friends introduce me skiing, cross-country skiing, hockey, sugar shake and must-visited place in their country.
The more I give, the more I get : )

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travel around Taiwan in 10 days by myself with the scooter.
I'm totally a doer. There is no plan, no friend with me. I just consider in 2 days. Everybody including my family tried to stop me. But all in vain. In this journey, I lived in the backpacker hostel. Met lots of people liked me from different countries from different ages. We share the stories and wish each other have a great trip. Let me believe what I'm doing : )
