Music, Movies, and Books
BOOK:
Harry Potter is definitely my treasure, I love everything about it and spend hours devoting to the saga's community in Vietnam. Other than that, I love to read some old school book like Uncle Tom's Calbin, Sans Famillie, O. Henry's short stories, Call of the Wild ... I also read a various of Asian novels and my most favorite so far is "Please take care of my mother" by Shin Kyung - sook. I also fancy books that give me the knowledge about life and different culture (they are my favorite recently).
MUSIC:
I love almost every song of One Ok Rock, their lyrics is so emotional powerful and full of encouragement for life. I also like songs of Adele, The Passengers, Fun. and compositions of Joe Hisaishi.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Broke my sewing machine needle the night before the convention and spent 9 hours finish my costume by hand - sewing. Got a sever muscle strain after that● ﹏☉.
Teach, Learn, Share
TEACH:
- As a 3 year experienced travel mate I believe that I have a handful of stories, history and culture knowledge of my country (Vietnam) to share with you as well as the tips and things to do about place I've visited.
- I can also exchange knowledge about crafts skill with you if you are interest.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SHARE:
- And of course, cooking, I love cooking and learning new recipes, especially the original home made one. I have a lot of Vietnamese authentic food recipe that I would love to share and even cook for you (Why not? After reading "Kitchen" by Banana Yoshimoto I really love to cook for others) as well as some Italian, Chinese and Japanese food that I learn from people I know.
- As mentioned above. I DO NOT HOST in Vietnam. However, when you come to my country, you can book for a FREE tour (some conditions applied) with the student volunteer club that I participate in: http://hanoikids.org/
We operate in Hanoi city and is a group of students willing to take foreign tourist around the city for a whole or half a day tour. We can share with you about the city and Vietnamese culture, thing that only the local knows, tip for other destinations in the country or Asian area for the pure exchange of our chance to practice English, social and guiding skills.
Currently we are launching a new Culture Project and the first issue is about "The Vietnamese Cold Food Festival": http://hanoikids.org/culturepuzzle/
Similar community in my country: http://www.hoianfreetour.com/ => HOI AN city.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LEARN:
- More stories are less. Curiosity (particularly for culture and facts) is my nature *V*
What I Can Share with Hosts
- Cooking: I can cook you some Vietnamese food, maybe even other Asian and Italian dishes. (I try to make them as authentic as possible because finding Asian ingredients in Europe sometime can be a real challenge). I will bring some essential materials with me.
