Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Yeon Su, (NOT YEON. I won't respond to messages that address me as Yeon.) and I'm an university student that loves to travel and experience new things. I'm very open minded, and am willing to try anything. I'm quite new to Couchsurfing and am really looking forward to getting to know you! :)
*If you would like to request to stay with me, please read my profile really thoroughly (INCLUDING THE ROOM INFORMATION SECTION) before sending me a request. I will know if you haven't, and I will just decline such requests without responding. And please don't copy paste templates. I'd prefer it if you wrote me a personal message. :) Also please do try to get my name right........
** As a rule of thumb, I do not accept friend requests from people I haven't met before in person. So please don't be offended if I decline your request.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people, especially when I travel, as I think that you have to get to know locals of that area to really understand that city's culture. I felt like Couchsurfing is the perfect way to do so, because it really allows you to connect with your host.
Interests
As it may be pretty obvious from the list above, I'm very interested in art and culture. Ranging from fine arts and music to literature, I love to be exposed to the arts. I'm also an amateur oboist and a big foodie that loves travel and adventure, and will try anything put in front of me. These days I'm quite intrigued by film and photography.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is so hard...
Music
-I honestly cant pick, but I do usually go for songs with good lyrics or a good melody line. Not a big fan of EDM or heavy metal though.
Books
-Harry Potter.⚡
-Used to love Enid Blyton as a child.
-Mysteries, romance, classics, tragedies, comedies, etc. Name it and I will try it. Right now I've just started Wuthering Heights.
Movies
-Tim Burton is a fave. Romantic comedies and musicals are my two frequented genres. Mysteries are also fun, but to be honest I'm not really good with blood, gore and horror so I turn away from those scenes. 😂
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Two months ago, I travelled to Morocco, where I had the opportunity to stay overnight at the Sahara desert. I daresay this was the best experience I ever had. There was no connection, minimum electricity--not even a toilet! At first, I thought I had a boring, uneventful night ahead of me. However, unlike my expectations, being away from civilization proved to be a very serene, fulfilling experience as I got used to the silence. I'd go back again for sure.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make some Korean dishes and the language too if you are interested.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Using my nationality as my strength, I feel I'd be able to share a bit of my culture such as language and cuisine if you're interested. I also would love to have discussions about topics and interests we might share. :)
