ABOUT ME

I have learned that bi-lingual vagabonds make the best friends for me. Travel brings great adventures and people into my life. I do not relate or conform to the standard mediocre people. Like people with a passion for life, Poli Kefti, bring energy to share. Learning is living. Having a laugh at yourself is part of becoming emotionally mature. Getting outside of self is crucial to happiness and maturity.

PHILOSOPHY

I am into simple plain life...not affluent and boring rich life. Good conversations, logic, laughter . I believe all people can get along..esp. world travelers.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My couch is your couch!!! Ole! I am 100 miles south of Mt. Rushmore, South Dakota. In my town many foreigners enjoy the Fur Trade Museum. If you are into the history of the West and Indian culture, come and visitl.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been a houseguest in Poland 2X, in italy, and I do hostels. I have had global freeloaders stay with me. Hope to see more come my way.

Interests

I tutor english to a professor from Turkmenistan. Recently, I found a college student who wants to sing opera; and I am tutoring him in pronunciation of italian words!!!! Word puzzles are my thing ..sometimes I read the dictionary! I am into barroca music, ethnic folk music from mexico, croatia, italy, greece. I have studied several languages but need total immersion to improve.

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer foreign films because they have more substance than Hollywood glitz and blood and guts. And I get an opportunity to hear italian, french, greek dialog. Many of my favorite books...do not teach me; but confirm my thinking so I know that I am not alone down here!!!
