About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore DF, learn Spanish, bring education online

ABOUT ME

I just moved to Mexico City after spending the last 12 years in San Francisco and Dublin. I'm looking to meet people, improve my Spanish, eat great food, and explore this awesome new place!

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone is free to live how they want to, as long as they're willing to offer the same to others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted in Dublin and surfed around Europe. I enjoy going to CS events in new cities even when I'm not staying with anyone.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although we didn't find a host in Stockholm, a couple of my friends and I found a brunch event at a wonderful little place off the beaten track and had a great last morning in Sweden. It's little things like this where I love meeting new people rather than just seeing new cities as structures and pictures.

Interests

Rock climbing, cycling, ice hockey, camping, skiing, all sorts of outdoor activities. If you have any leads on doing these activities in Mexico, contact me!!

Food is the best thing though. I'll try anything and love to find the local specialties, the things done better in a place than anywhere else. I find the food and the place go together most importantly to create the best memories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite traveling days was in Chiang Mai in 2010. We scheduled two half-day activities so I got to ride and feed elephants, and learn to cook Thai food all in the same day. The instructors and groups we were traveling with were awesome, and the food we made ourselves was probably the best Thai food I had the whole time we were there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to make a whistle from your cupped hands. I can teach you to backpack in the woods and leave no trace. I can teach you to appreciate hockey. I can help you fix some nagging issue with your computer
