Overview
About Me
I worked in tourism, tech, NGO spheres, wandered a bit, listened, looked, learned.
Now I am working for a charity foundation and own a social enterprise that is working to provide resources for children in a small town in Armenia. I also study psychology.
I feel the most alive in the wild, I have worked for several trails throughout Armenia and love camping and hiking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting new people and sharing experiences. I am interested in people, that's why I am doing my master's in psychology and might later also study sociology.
People are all we've got.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a literature bachelor and a slow reader. At the moment, I am reading classic literature, epics, and myths from different countries, like Mahabharata.
I wrote the following list at 17 when I had a dream of becoming a movie director so no wonder it looks pretentious but I feel sorry for my 17-year-old self to delete it. Over 10 years the list has of course evolved, but some essential things like Tigran Hamasyan, Salinger, Jane Austen, and Harry Potter are going strong. Recent obsessions in music are Sufjan Stevens and The Ocean Collective.
The older list, hehe:
Music: Tigran Hamasyan, The Deenjes, Dorians, Amy Winehouse, Bobby Womack, Donny Hathaway, SOAD, Mumford and Sons, Birch Book.
Movies by Sergey Parajanov, Artavazd Peleshyan, Akira Kurosawa, Andrei Tarkovsky, Martin Scorsese, Spike Jonze, Steve McQueen, Whiplash, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Relatos salvajes.
Books by Gabriel García Márquez, Kurt Vonnegut, Salinger (Glass family stories), Hrant Matevosyan, Gurgen Mahari, Henryk Sienkiewicz, Douglas Adams, Jane Austen.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The social enterprise/anti-cafe that I co-founded. It's an awesome multicultural space: https://www.instagram.com/___arvestanots___/

Eager to explore new music, cuisine, and books from different countries: tell me about yours.
If possible, I would love to cook Armenian dishes and share my culture.
