Overview
About Me
About my hometown, I was born in a small village—Meinong. It‘s a tranquil Hakka village with beautiful rural scenery and friendly residents. It is one of the four districts in Kaoshiung city, also famous for its great Hakka culture preservation and development. In March 2012, it was named as one of the "Top 10 Small Tourist Towns" by the Tourism Bureau of Taiwan.
I live and work in my second hometown, Tainan city. It’s an old city in the south of Taiwan with a significant history.Tainan is also a well-known tourist city where you can see many magnificent historical sites and tourist attractions. Also, visitors in Tainan usually like to try different kinds of traditional snacks and cuisine.
About me, maybe at first sight, you’ll think I’m a bit cool, but after a while, you’ll find I’m easy-going, open-minded, and tend to laugh loudly when I hear funny things (haha! ).
Since I love cooking, I love to show people how to make some simple Chinese homemade dishes when I travel abroad. Food says a thousand words for me.
I like to experience and learn new things. Of course, meeting different people and listen to their stories are so interesting to me, and that’s why I start to try couchsurfing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It’s a good way to explore the world, meet people and have closer communication with friends over the world. For me, it's cool to know more things about the outside world and let the world know more about me, my culture and my country. Also, couchsurfing is a good way to check how you handle all the problems you’ll possibly meet on the journey.
Interests
I’m interested in cooking, movies, art, music, architectures, reading, Yoga, and hiking. ...Of course, I also like trying different things, too.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like many different kinds of music.
I listen to classical music (I like Chopin’s Nucturnes and sopranos a bit more) and pop songs as well. For movies and books I like, there aren't specific types or genres, as long as there is a good story in them.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Strolling along the street at a dark night in Greece.
I didn’t do anything special, just walking down the street, but I deeply enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere around me. It was a feeling so poetic that I can’t really describe it with words.
Teach, Learn, Share
To meet different people is to learn more things about the world. When we meet and talk, we are sort of creating a possibility for sharing more things with each other.
What I Can Share with Hosts
*We can prepare some cultural gifts and exchange the gifts (like what I did with my hosts during my trip in July and August, 2016)
*I would love to show you how to make some simple homemade dishes if you're interested in Chinese food.
*I would love to share some pictures of my students with you if you like. We've been constantly inviting many visitors coming to the classroom having lunch with us and introducing their cultures to us, and we had a lot of fun and great memories.
