I love to travel and make friends with people I encountered. l'm interested in different culture and I love to share perspectives as well as traveling stories. To me, traveling is not about only tourist sites, but local way of living and its culture. As a result, I love to have some local cuisine, places that local people will go and so on, just like living there!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all, I love traveling! And I love to make friends!!:)
Moreover, I'd like to have a deeper understanding of a culture as well! Have a taste of different culture, local food, go to local places, and so on! :D

Interests

Well, to name it, A LOT!!! :D
I love sports, like basketball, badminton, volley ball and tennis. And I would like to try skiing, skate board, surfing, diving and skydiving in the future!

Dancing, singing, and playing music is part of my life!! I learned hip pop, jazz, and social dace b4, and I love to leave my body just moving with the music flows! I played violin, piano, flute and clarinet. Recently, I learn to play guitar and wukelili.

Watching movies, reading books, drawing and writing some articles are some of my favorite thing in my free time! Always get inspired by the stories or the paintings from the author and artists. And these allow my imagination flies. :D

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classic music such as those from Mozart, Beethoven, yet I love pop music as well. Country songs, R & B are all my favorite. Hebe Tien, Sodagreen, Coldplay (Up & Up), Adele (Send My Love), and TaeYeon are my favorite singers!!

I love opera as well. The phantom of the opera, Cats, Ma ma mia, Les miserables are my favorites! :D

History and geography are like stories to me. I love to know more about different culture, country as well as the life and people there. I love to read poems, and literature. Some of the ideas inspire me of life, or said out the true feeling in one's mind. Design and architecture are my interest as well. Besides, books in psychology, marketing, finance are on my book list, too. (Which are my major)

Watching movie is one of what I enjoy doing when I have free time. I am so into science fiction, animation, and some action movies which makes me excited! In addition, I love movies that are so touching. For example of movies I like, forgotten(which is a short film in Taiwan and it's inspiring!), Avatar, harry potter, the lord of the rings, inside out, frozen, titanic, prince mononoke(Japanese film), and pride and prejudice.... and so on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

*Round-the-island trip in Taiwan for 10 days

I was a member of international volunteer group in my school. In this trip, we helped the farmers gathering their harvest, held some activities for the children in mental health institution and organized second-hand books which will be distribute to children in need. Beside the hospitality work, we also conducted street interviews of people's dream when they are (were) in their 20.

From the trip I deeply inspired by those who gave out without asking for return. And also in our group, people help each other by putting themselves into others shoe; thus, I learned more to donate myself by the way people feel comfortable, to take care about others and to get along well with a bunch of people.

The street interview just inspired me of my dreams and goals. I thought to myself, "life is a dream connected to the other. And if I don't achieve my dream on this moment, I'm on my way to reach it."

Teach, Learn, Share

There are stories behind our festival Taiwan as well as there are stories behind every writings of traditional Chinese word (for how it comes up). I would like to share the stories with you! The stories related to our culture and history. Some of them are very touching!! :D Furthermore, in Taiwan, we have high mountains with snows, big cities, cliffs, and beaches. I would like to show U some nice place to go as I've been to round-island trip several times.:D (NIGHT MARKET IS ALWAYS THE BEST!!!) Moreover, there are different special cuisine in different regions in Taiwan, and I would like to show U some nice cuisines in Taiwan! And if I can use the kitchen, I can do some Taiwanese cuisines!!^^

I would like to know more about Ur culture (that's one of the main reason I'm on couch surfing^^) as well as knowing more about local food, local places, local ways of living and Ur language^^ If possible, we can also do some food exchange!! I do some Taiwanese food, and have a taste of cuisines from Ur own country~:D
