Hiya, my name is Yi-Wen. Pronouncing "even" with an w instead of v :). I am originally from Taiwan, and currently based in London working as an interior designer.

I like everything about design, especially interior design and architecture. My favorite part of traveling is to visit all the great works from great architects. My current plan for the next trip is gonna be Switzerland!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I usually do solo traveling as it is more flexible. It would be nice to also meet some local people while traveling! I've registered in Couchsurfing for a long time, and I never tried it. I would like to give it a try and travel as much as I can! Hope I can also share something with the host.

Interests

Outdoor Activities:
I enjoy hiking, cycling, swimming, and camping. When I was living in Taiwan, I liked mountain hiking and wild camping with my boyfriend. Taiwan has many high mountains, as it is a small island formed by the collision of two plates. I'd love to share more about the Taiwanese mountains if you're interested in hiking overseas!
I bought a vintage Dutch-style bike when I moved to London three years ago and have loved cycling to almost every corner of the city. If you happen to visit London, feel free to cycle and sightsee with me!

Indoor Activities:
I'm also a homebody and an introverted person, so I enjoy indoor activities such as crafting and reading at home. Lately, I've been into crocheting and knitting. I've finished two crochet tops and am currently learning how to knit the Sophie scarf. I'll probably bring some craft projects with me while commuting during trips. If you're also into crafts, we could organize a craft night together.

Recently Learning or Would Like to Learn:
I thrifted a sewing machine from the street but haven't had time to start using it yet.
