ABOUT ME

I have lived in Athens, Crete, and Thessaloniki in Greece, Salamanca and Madrid in Spain, and am now moving to Norwich in UK.
I like travelling and visiting new places, exploring nature, especially seas and mountains, playing and listening to music especially in live concerts, painting, dancing, learning new languages...
..During weekdays at home I like cooking a nice meal and enjoy it with good company while watching natural history documentaries.
Apart from that I am a busy student; I am starting a PhD research in behavioural neuroscience at the UEA this September, and already feel very excited about it.

Probably that having a positive attitude in and/or towards life augments the possibilities of having a happy and meaningful life

兴趣

I am interested in Sciences, Arts, including music (playing or listening, piano, percussion), painting, a bit of dancing, and exploring Nature (like mountains, gorges, coastlines and submarine environments with scuba diving, and any beautiful natural place ^_^). I also enjoy being with positive and interesting people, and travelling of course.

音乐、电影和书籍

Movies: I enjoy nice movies but usually prefer watching documentaries about sciences and the natural world. I love anime like Miyazaki's films.
Music: play the piano and some percussion instruments (mainly bendir), and listen from classical and jazz to electronic Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin, from traditional Mediterranean roads to Caribbean roots reggae and sudamerican cumbias. I attend live music concerts whenever I have the chance.
Books: I love literature but the truth is I don't read that much at the moment (because of all that studying etc). Nevertheless, I like the classics (love Kazantzakis-, Zola, Dostoyevsky, Beckett, etc), philosophy, but also books like Adams' hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, Kostaki Annan's books, Tolkien's fantasy stories, etc.

Scuba diving at 32 meters below the sea surface -it's not too deep, but for me it was like experiencing life in an outerspace environment
I hope I'll try sky diving sometime -it must be a super fantastic experience

I am always interested in learning new things and happy to share anything I know.
I could definately teach how to prepare a cup of real coffee without a machine or a cup of real herbal tea
