About Me
你(Ni)好(Hao) ! it means hello in Chinese :)
I am Yi-Chun. I am from Taipei, Taiwan, a tiny yet lovely island full of good food, amazing landscape and kind people. I am now living in Rotterdam as an exchange student for half a year. I major in English literature. I could be pretty shy when meeting new people in the beginning, but after becoming close friends I go quiet crazy, as my friends describe. Current goal is to pass all the wisdom and insights I learnt in literature to people, not as a professor, but as a story teller :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To save budget to travel to as many places as I can and also, more importantly, to become friends with local people and explore a place as a local rather than a tourist!
I am a shy person and am afraid of talking to newly-met people. I really wish to make new friends but just not courageous enough to speak to people. I challenge myself to stay in a totally strange place in which I must step out of my comfort zone and start knowing new people.
Interests
I love drawing. And I enjoy drawing normal day life. One thing I enjoy the most is to make portraits of my friends and give them as a gift, which entertains both myself and the receiver a lot.
I also enjoy playing the guitar after joining guitar club for 3 years. Most of the time I play pop songs, but recently I try acoustic as well.
For me a wonderful weekend after a tiring week is doing nothing but drawing and playing the guitar with people I love!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I listen to Taiwanese indie bands mostly. For English singers I love Taylor Swift the most :)
Movies: I am a big fan for Pixar! Have seen all movies by Pixar and can repeat watching them for several times!
Books: Too many to list! Recently I am reading Dubliners and really love it :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
