About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel to learn, to grow up

ABOUT ME

What am I supposed to write here? "I'm a nice girl, I love friends, I love music, I'm open-minded blah-blah-blah..."? Is there anyone on this site who isn't good, doesn't love friends and isn't open-minded? If you really want to know me - meet me, see me, talk to me. I'm not only open-minded, I'm much more, and you are much more, and everyone is much more.
But still, if you are considering hosting me or be my guest, you may need some basic idea about who I am.

I used to spend most of my life study. So I ended up in the best university in China and study the hottest major. But I seldom felt happy. It's all about competition, internship, future job...ect. I felt like my life is setted in a routine that everyone else does. I am living that kind of life which I'm expected to. I'm not me anymore.
Then I started to travel. Instead of travel with my classmates, I choose to travel alone by CS. It takes courage, especially when everybody thought you r insane, it's too risky.
But in the end I made it. My trip is undoubtedly better than theirs, while all they do was stay safe, stay inside of their comfortable zone.

So I realize that you have to live a life you really like and you really want, instead of live up to other's expectation. You only live once, and you have to make it as awesome as possible.

That's my philosophy recently.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't be a woman needs a man, be a woman that man needs

I wanna share two stories of my homeless experiences here.
1) My flight from Moscow to London was delayed hours, and when I arrive London all the public transportations were closed. Without any phone or sim card stuff in my hand, there is only a guy I met in the flight, who was totally drunk at that time, I can count on.
It's been said if you want to know who the person really is, you'd better give him a whole bottle of strong wine, he is always gonna be who he is when he is drunk. And I do believe that.
He was like a child. I have to hold his hand and asked him to fill in the boarding card stuff, and ask him to make sure he won't miss his bus to Walsh at 5;00 in the morning. I looked after him as much as I can. I don't know why I did that,I was miserable enough at that time. When I was about to leave, I saw tears in his eyes, he kept calling my name, Ju, take care. Ju, good luck.
And I believe it's tears rather than anything else. It's pure and it's what we really are.

2) I missed my flight to Glasgow, and ended up becoming homeless outside of London Victoria station. Again, just because the metro was closed. I walked back and forth between metro station and coach station, just want to lead two Bulgarian girls the way from coach station to victoria station. I was with my 25 kg luggage, which is more than half of my weight. But I still feel responsible to show them the way. Because compared with me, they are the what called totally miserable-they barely know any English. I felt like my arms were about to break down, but I felt happy. This kind of feeling is from deep inside of you.

Interests

1. Traveling. I've been traveling around for a while, and I'm totally addicted to it I guess.
2. Reading. I love reading.
3. Guitar. I used to play in the band, but I abandoned it for one year, so I can not play anymore...;(
4. Piano. Same thing as guitar. I abandoned it totally, but I would love to enjoy some piano songs with you sometime.
5. Meeting new people and traveling together!
