Hello, I'm Yiduo Wei from China. I am a PhD student in History at Sichuan University in China, currently studying as a visiting student at the University of Exeter in the UK, where I have been living for nearly a year.

I grew up in a rural village in southwestern China. Since I was a child, my life goal has been to travel the world and make friends all over the world.

In 2024, I was awarded a scholarship to undertake a visiting scholar programme in the United Kingdom, which allowed me to study and travel throughout Europe.

I love chatting with people from different cultural backgrounds, sharing our life experiences and philosophies; it makes me feel particularly happy and excited.

I have a great passion for life. Beyond my studies and work, I regularly go running for exercise. I'm also particularly fond of photography. Additionally, I've been teaching myself guitar since the age of twelve and have a deep love for music. I've attended many performances across China, and many of my friends have told me I'm a great singer. I also greatly enjoy sharing my music with friends.

I enjoy many types of music, and Coldplay is my favourite band.
I’ve watched a lot of movies, especially Pixar’s animated films, but my favorite one is probably Interstellar.
I enjoy reading, but mostly books on history and the social sciences.
