About Me
Hello my fellow couchsurfers, I am Yifan!
My life in short:

2015-2019: Beijing, China (bachelor study in Economics)

2021: ♀️️🤵♂️
2021-2023: Paris, France (working as accountant)
2023-: Paris, France (career transitional study in CS)
I always want to get overwhelmed by gorgeous things in the world, the great arts, made by human or nature. I also take a sip of nuances in moments of ordinary life. I love silence. So much can be conveyed in silence. I like light and shadow that flowing on objects. I like people’s facial and body expressions. I like to take photos for birds and trees. When I travel somewhere, my interst lies in seeing the landscape, the architecture, the music, the art, the food, and people’s life.
Current mission
1. become a more open and more inclusive human
2. build a knowledge of world history and politics

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
At first I heard of Couchsurfing when planning my first trips in Europe, then I fell in love with it since my first experience! As a person with great curiosity about the world, interacting with people from different backgrounds makes me happy. It is such a poetic thing in life that people who have never crossed paths before, can make connections and share stories with an open heart. After the Couchsurfing experience, whether we make it to keep in touch or not, it is a unique memory at least. Personally, I prefer to stay longer time with hosts/guests and get to know them better. I would love to receive my host in my city or visit the city of my guest someday!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is my No.1 hobby. During university, I was obsessed with listening to music, explored lots of genres and now I conclude myself as omnivore music listener and devotee of psychedelic rock, jazz, and world music. I also started to play bass recently as I always longed for that groovy feeling.
