Overview
About Me
I am the kind of person who is always looking for an adventure somewhere and takes off to a random place on a whim. I have an incredible thirst to experience new things, see different parts of the world, and meet other fellow humans. As much as I love spending time exploring cities, you'll find me at my most comfortable near the ocean or in a forest or hiking a mountain.
In my free time I love to make food, join social protests, travel with my husband, write, and be active in my community. A huge goal in my life is to find balance, try new things, and enjoy where I am.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Both my husband and I love to travel to new places and we've realised that meeting new people along the way make our experience better and more rich and allows us to encounter things we would've never encountered. We're the type of travellers who backpack and are interested in the local culture and digs rather than the touristy destinations which makes couchsurfing perfect for us when travelling and it's a great way for us to meet people around the world!
Although I've been a member of CS since 2012, because I really loved the concept when I first heard about it, I haven't really had a chance to travel until this past year. But since we've begun travelling a lot more, we really wanted to meet more people and couchsurfing seems like the ideal way to do it!
Interests
I love hearing about other people's lives and experiences and sharing some of my own. I enjoy eating local cheap food and seeing sites that are off the beaten track. I study environmental studies and equity studies, which basically means I'm really interested in social and environmental issues and I'm always looking for like minded people.
