About Me
I've worked hard for 15 years in the digital world—mostly e-commerce, marketing, and lately AI. It was a great ride, but I decided it was time to step out of the office and see the real world. So, I packed my life into a backpack and started my journey in Vietnam as a digital nomad.
I’m a mix of a tech guy and a storyteller. I love deep conversations about how the world is changing, but I’m also just here to enjoy the simple things, meet new people, and improve my English. I value respect, honesty, and good energy. Just a guy looking for authentic stories and local connections.
I'm afraid of dogs... :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After 15 years of working in the digital world, I realized I was spending more time with screens than with real people. I decided to leave the office life behind, grab my backpack, and see the world as a digital nomad. I’m on Couchsurfing because hotels are boring and lonely—I want to meet real people, hear their stories, and see Vietnam through their eyes. I’m here to make friends, share some laughs, and have good conversations about life (and maybe some tech if you're curious). I value honesty and simple, authentic moments.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I’m deep into electronic music—everything from melodic techno to progressive house that keeps me in the 'flow state' while working. But I also have a big spot for classical music; it's the ultimate 'AI-free' human masterpiece.
Movies: I prefer thought-provoking cinema like 'Ex Machina' (for obvious AI reasons) or 'The Man from Earth'. I like films that challenge our perception of time and existence.
Books: I’m currently reading about the philosophy of technology and behavioral economics. I prefer books that explain why we do what we do.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing (and terrifying) thing I’ve done is walking away from a successful 15-year career in E-commerce and AI Product Management to embrace the unknown as a digital nomad. It took a decade and a half to build that life, but I realized that true growth happens when you have the courage to hit the 'reset' button. Now, I’m navigating the world with just a backpack, proving to myself that it's never too late to redefine who you are and how you live. It’s a work in progress, but it’s the most authentic project I’ve ever managed.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how e-commerce actually works behind the scenes or how to think like a Product Manager when solving problems. I can also show you how to use AI tools (like LLMs) to simplify your daily tasks or work. No fluff, just practical stuff I've done for 15 years.
Learn:
I’m currently focused on improving my English through real conversations. I also want to learn the local secrets of Hoi An—where the best non-tourist food is and how people here stay so grounded.
Share:
I can share my experiences of transition—what it’s like to leave a 15-year career to start over. I’m a respectful guest who shares good energy, interesting tech insights, and I'm always happy to help with daily chores or tidying up the place.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a decade and a half of professional insights—from how global e-commerce works to the future of AI. If you're curious about tech, business, or how to pivot your career, I’m always down for a deep brainstorm over coffee. More than that, I share a respectful, quiet, and clean presence. I’m a good listener, I respect privacy, and I’m happy to help with daily household chores or share a few professional tips that might help your own projects. I'm not just looking for a couch; I'm looking to exchange perspectives.
