About Me

I used to be an introvert person, but with the time I realised that it wasn't really fun and if you really want to travel and get to know people and let people know you, you have to put yourself out there... even if it seems awkward and bizarre at first. I am a student of Science in Puerto Rico and French language, but after years of studies I've realised that what I really like are languages and travelling, so I will do everything possible to have a career that involves both of those things... and a little science on the side, because why not?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The first time I heard of Couchsurfing I thought it was an amazing idea and I wondered why wasn't this available in Puerto Rico. I mean I've done this way to many times with friends from all over the world, and it feels really cool to get to know more about other people's culture, about their traditions and obviously the traditional food back home.

Interests

I love listening to music, from the moment I wake up, love to read a good book. Sleep is my passion but I force myself not to do it that much because then there's no time to explore around. I love to go hiking, even thought I am just a beginner I like to go hiking in every new place that I visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to any type of music that makes me feel. I see music as a way to show yourself to others, and it is always a good way to start conversations.

With books I have a good relationship, I love to read any kind of book that I find even if I have to ditch college work just to read or re-read a good book. My favourites of all times are: Lovely bones from Alice Sebold, 1Q84 from Haruki Murakami, The Alchemist from Paulo Coelho, El Caballero de la Armadura Oxidada from Robert Fisher... and many more.

With movies I have a love/hate relationship... yeah of course they are entertaining but as a reader it is always difficult to appreciate a crappy piece of a book you love so much, specially for the details... I tend to watch movies regularly but don't pay that much attention to it. I guess 1 movie that I've liked is the Pan's labyrinth which is a creepy movie but enjoyable at the same time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have decided that I want to meet the world, well kind of, by myself. So I started my journey leaving home for LA, CA, just to visit friends and whatnot... After that I went to Asia, South Korea specifically. I traveled and hiked and met so many interesting people over there. Finally I came to Spain to study and am currently travelling around Spain itself and Europe.

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I love languages so much my mission in life is to learn by myself all the languages I can and to teach anyone who is truly interested in learning a new language. I am the kind of person that always like to explain how to do things correctly, if I know how to, so my motto is if you are going to do something do it how you would like someone else to do it to yourself... in a few words Just do it well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I want to share my experiences, my knowledge. But most importantly I want them to share stories about the places, people, food or simply things that they've experienced.
